Very excited to hear how Tryamkin and Larsen work out as a pairing. Something I've been wondering about, it's talked a lot about who the 5,6,7,8th Dmen are, But say one of our top 4 gets hurt. Who do you move into that slot to fill the void? Sbisa? Tryamkin?

Also hoping Jake goes out there and forces himself onto the roster with strong play.

Sbisa is dropping like a rock down the depth chart.

Can't believe he has 2 more years left on his deal.

Yeah, I really hope Benning can trade him sooner rather than later.

Virtanen, Baertschi & Horvat should be their best forwards tonight, hopefully they show well.

It'll be tough moving Sbisa... i'd like to see if he learned anything from the WCH experience and comes back with something to prove....

Very tough to move with that cap hit.

He's not Dan Girardi or Andrew McDonald bad, but it is a pretty tough contract to move.

Sbisa is what he is IMO. He made the Flyer's out of camp at 18 with high expectations but he just doesn't have it between the ears to make great decisions with the puck.

But he's good in a scrum

Larsen sounds like a lock, from all the talk we have heard at camp, for the right side on the third pairing. We need more scoring in the lineup.

With Sbisa, Tryamkin, Pedan and Biega all bringing an element of physical play, who is the best fit to play with Larsen? Who would garner the biggest return if traded?

I hope to see Tryamkin and Pedan each get time with Larsen in the preseason. though expecting the left side is Sbisa's spot to lose.

and regarding JV. I have been advocating for him to start in Utica. But if he shows some jump and offense, I can't see how he stays out of the lineup with so little proven scoring in our bottom 6. (if he isn't at least on the 3rd line, he may as well go to Utica)

Thanks Carol.

Lots of hockey today, makes me happy

It's a pity Sweden didn't make the final as I think Europe is going to get blown out

Agree, Sbisa will be on that 3rd pairing if he doesn't get moved. I want Tree and Pedan both to succeed so hopefully they both get a chance to show what they have this year.

Like I said I'd like to see Jake come out and force himself onto the team this year, but if they can't provide him with the minutes he needs to grow, they should send him down.

concerning WCH; its funny....leading up to it most posters here had teams NA and euro as doing nothing and getting bounced early.
NA ended up a fan fav and euro is in the final while USA stunk it up badly losing all 3 games in a row.

Actually, I think originally I said that it would be Team NA vs Team Europe in the Final because they were the teams that would try the hardest because they were the ones with nothing to lose. So 'lo and behold, Team NA almost made it there and were the ones everyone seems to have enjoyed watching and Team Europe IS here.

Team NA were fun to watch, I wonder how much better USA would have been with some of their players

It wouldn't have mattered ...torts ...he would have benched Johnny for not shot blocking, Mathews would have had to watch 4-5 games before he was trusted, and eichel would have been stapled to the bench

That 3 on 3 overtime between NA and Sweden was pure gold. More entertaining than a lot of NHL regular season games.
